Transfer and Development Length Behavior of Lightweight High-Performance Concrete
This Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) research program focuses on Lightweight High Performance Concrete (LWHPC) in the gap of equilibrium densities ranging from conventional lightweight to normal weight concrete. The transfer and development length behavior portion of the investigation involves testing 12 American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) girders composed of LWHPC produced using aggregates representative of those available in North America. The result of the study will be to recommend changes to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification relevant to LWHPC.
