Evaluation of New Concrete Placement Techniques
This proposal is geared toward both addressing pavement management issues and investigating new technologies utilized to solve pavement problems. Chief among these is the development and advances of the personal computer and data collection devices, which allow roadway condition information to be collected and analyzed more quickly than in the past. Project staff completed the evaluation of the existing sites and submitted a report of recommendations in April 2000. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) accepted the report as provided and the second part of the task is underway. Minor communication difficulities are being resolved in order to begin the collection and processing of monitored traffic data.
