Effective Slab Width for Composite Steel Bridge Members

The objective of this research is to develop recommended revisions to the AASHTO specifications for the effective slab width of composite steel bridge members. The recommended specifications should be applicable to all types of composite steel bridge superstructures and must be suitable for design office use; that is, presented in the form of equations, tables, charts, or some other format deemed acceptable by the NCHRP.
