Enhancements to WSPMS for Network Analysis
A wealth of technical knowledge exists on how various levels of funds spent on pavement maintenance and rehabilitation affect the conditions of pavements with time. However, communicating this knowledge to legislators, executives, the public, and other stakeholders is not always easy to do in an effective way. In this work we propose to develop a web-based system that allows users (executives, legislators, members of the public) to view, in a visually compelling way, pavement conditions as a function of time and various maintenance and rehabilitation scenarios. Primary benefit is better communications with stakeholders of the information necessary to make informed decisions with respect to funding allocations.
