I-90 High Priority Linkage Areas-Eastern Cascades
Major highways such as I90 are significant barriers to movement and sources of mortality for wildlife. This project will complete work begun earlier in cooperation with the USFS. The work involves monitoring of wildlife movements and is aimed at determining the optimum locations for wildlife crossing structures to be installed in the Eastern Cascades when I90 is widened from 4 to 6 lanes in an upcoming project. Partnership arrangements will again be sought.
