Historic Assessment of Properties Subject to Impact by Highway Construction

Conduct research on the historic assessment of properties potentially subject to impact by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KyTC) highway construction projects. Data will be collected on essential information about early Kentucky infrastructure such as roads, stone fences, bridges, farms, railroad companies, commercial and industrial facilities, etc. for the purpose of developing historic contexts for Kentucky counties. Properties 50 years of age or older will be placed into appropriate historical contexts in order to determine whether historic resources are eligible for the National Historic Register.
