Implementation of Performance Based Specifications for Wearing Course Aggregate
The researchers will evaluate different specifications of gravel used as aggregate wearing course materials. Recipes of differing sized materials will be evaluated to identify the best combination of aggregate for the best road performance. Advantages include a smoother running surface, a decrease in dust production from haul vehicles and reduced maintenance costs.
