Truck Maintenance Investigation
Since transportation operations are primarily conducted by contractors, the forest industry lacks information on vehicle operating costs. This information forms the basis for all decisions that must be taken in forest transportation activities. Working with contractors and companies that own their own fleet, the researcher will monitor maintenance costs of trucks for a better understanding of maintenance costs.
