Warranty Evaluation I-65 Warren County 35.6-40.0

The rehabilitation and widening of this roadway from MP 35-6-40.0 was completed in 2003. The rehabilitation consisted of an AC overlay with breaking and seating of an existing PCC pavement. In addition, widening of the project was completed to allow for a six-lane roadway section. The roadway is warranted by the contractor for a period of 10 years. The Kentucky Transportation Center is responsible for monitoring the pavement condition of the project to ensure its performance meets the established warranty parameters. In addition the Center is responsible for the calculation of the annual Equivalent Single Axle Loads (ESAL's) to determine if the contractor will be released from the warranty due to traffic loadings being increased.
