Assessment of Risk from Herbicides Used in Integrated Vegetation Management for Roadsides
One objective is to provide a realistic risk assessment of the herbicides most commonly used by The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to manage exotic and noxious weeds along roadsides. The assessment will also include situations specific to residual herbicide use along shoulders and herbicides used for tree and bush control. This project will also prioritize herbicides for use in integrated vegetation management plans according to the environmental stewardship principles inherent in integrated pest management. The goal is to provide a report that communicates the results of the risk assessment to interested parties who are concerned about vegetation management along roadsides.
