Applied Generative AI Pilot: Establishing the Rapid Applied Research Environment (RARE) for Construction & Materials
This project will establish the Rapid Applied Research Environment (RARE), an internal generative AI capability designed to help the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) address complex transportation challenges through applied artificial intelligence (AI) research. The project will use the Expert AI Co Research framework to develop and evaluate AI solutions for Construction and Materials challenges, including specification modernization, data extraction, technical research, and historical data recovery. The results will be used to measure efficiency improvements, evaluate the feasibility of AI tools, and develop a repeatable framework for using AI in future ITD research and operations.
