Abrasion Resistance Comparison Wearing Surfaces
This project will evaluate and compare the abrasion resistance of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC), Polyester Polymer Concrete (PPC), and standard concrete mixtures used for bridge wearing surfaces. Laboratory testing will be conducted using ASTM C944 and other applicable methods to compare material performance and assess current testing procedures. The results will be used to develop recommendations for abrasion resistance requirements and testing procedures to support ITD specifications and ensure adequate durability of concrete materials.
