Residual System-Level Performance of Prestressed Girder Bridges with Cast-in-Place Decks after OHTI Repairs: Phase 1
This project will evaluate the performance of prestressed girder bridges with cast in place decks after over height vehicle impacts and repairs. The study will examine girder damage, repair methods, load distribution, diaphragm performance, and preloading to better understand how these factors affect long term bridge performance. The project will include a literature review, analytical modeling, and experimental testing. The results will be used to develop practical guidance for bridge inspections, load ratings, repair decisions, and future bridge design.
