Fiber Reinforcement in Concrete Pavement
This research identified the major gaps in the analysis and design of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) pavements and gathered various structural-mechanics methods and solutions to various FRC-based concrete application that include: fatigue, tension stiffening, shrinkage cracking, multiple parallel cracking distribution, toughening of hybrid systems by fibers, development of tensile stress distribution across the thickness of a slab, and the moment-curvature response of a section, limit analysis of plates, as well as the load-deflection response of a slab.
