Best Practice for Seal Coating & Pavement Markings with Rumble/Mumble Strips

The research team will evaluate how chip seals influence rumble strip effectiveness. Complementary approaches will combine technical review, practitioner input, standardized testing, and in-service monitoring; and will provide both rigorous data and practical insights, ensuring that the resulting recommendations are scientifically grounded and applicable to Minnesota’s roadway network.
