A Data-Driven and Region-Specific Optimization Framework for CCS and WIM Planning
The primary objective is to enhance and operationalize a data-driven process for systematically managing Office of Transportation Data’s Continuous Count Stations and Weigh-in-Motion sites programs. This project will provide improved network coverage with more accurate representation of statewide traffic and freight flow patterns, tailored approaches that account for distinct characteristics of Atlanta metropolitan area and the rest of Georgia, and a streamlined, ready to implement decision making process for Continuous Count Stations and Weigh-in-Motion sites planning and deployment.
