Evaluating the Effectiveness of Dynamic Speed Feedback Sign (DSFS) at Safety Critical Locations in Connecticut
This research study will use the field data collected at horizontal curves and speed transition zones to evaluate the effectiveness of dynamic speed feedback sign (DSFS) in improving speed compliance at these locations. The research team will extensively collect speed data at numerous horizontal curves and speed transition zones to obtain a meaningful sample size; and estimate the ideal range of longitudinal position of DSFS that produces maximum impact on speed.
