Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Installed Wrong-Way Driving Countermeasures on Florida Freeways and Arterials
This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of wrong way driving countermeasures currently mandated by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on freeways and arterials. The study will assess whether the mandated wrong-way driving (WWD) countermeasures have an impact on the number of WWD incidents and WWD crashes occurring on state highway system roadways. The effectiveness of the countermeasures will be measured by the number and extent of WWD incidents, and WWD crashes reduced due to their installation.
