RES2025-07: Active Transportation Quick-Build Program Guidelines

RES2025-07

The primary objective of this research is to develop comprehensive guidelines for implementing quick-build safety countermeasures at high-crash locations for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other low-speed users in Tennessee. Principles in this guide can be utilized in other local jurisdictions and may have less-restrictive design constraints. This research aims to address the identified need for temporary safety interventions to completement permanent measures, fostering community engagement and reducing fatalities and serious injuries of all road users.
