Y-Pods Investigation of CDOT Construction Projects Impact on Air Quality
This project will use a new measurement approach to understand how construction and maintenance activities impact air quality. An agile sensor package is proposed with spatially dense measurements during construction of both an urban (data-rich environment with complex industrial emissions), and rural environment. The project will also identify potential mitigation strategies. This work is complementary to other work under Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)/Applied Research and Innovation Branch (ARIB) Air Quality Area of Emphasis. It also allows CDOT to gain experience with a wider variety of low-cost sensors and calibration.
