Improving travel forecasting accuracy
This Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) research is to build upon National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Research Report 934: Traffic Forecasting Accuracy Assessment Research, and leverage NCHRP 934 work to improve travel forecasting accuracy. FHWA can build upon this original research and the follow-up work that was done in Florida, District 4 that was done by Insight Transportation Consulting, and provide a prototype on how to best follow up on some of the NCHRP findings and recommendations to improve travel demand forecasting accuracy.
