Evaluation of Concrete Specimens Prepared with Corrosion Resistant Reinforcement After Long Term, Greater than 15 Years, Outdoor and Laboratory Exposures
The purpose of the project is to assess the long-term (>15 years for lab samples) performance of CRRs. The samples that will be evaluated have been exposed to field conditions as well as indoor and outdoor laboratory conditions. Evaluate CRRs to identify which types of materials, exposure conditions, and geometries have shown corrosion initiation. In addition, quantify the extent of the corrosion identified. Obtain chloride profiles from in-service bridges constructed with CRR. The evaluation will include analysis of all available data that has been collected over the lifetime of the samples as well as collecting new data as appropriate.
