Synthesis of Information Related to Highway Practices. Topic 56-07. Practices for Incorporating Risk into Bridge Management Plans
Section 11105 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) changes to Title 23, United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 119(e)(4) requires that all states are required to consider extreme weather and resilience as a part of the life-cycle planning and risk management within a state asset management plan. The objective of this synthesis is to document current state DOT practice for incorporating risk into bridge management plans.
