Machine Vision Approach to Retroreflectivity Measurements
The primary objectives of this research effort are to perform a Literature Review of existing machine vision-based retroreflectivity measurements of pavement markings and to quantify the performance of the Machine Vision reflectometer. This will include quantifying the performance through a comprehensive precision study, including line striping retro-reflectivity, pavement marking contrast, RPM detection and measurement.
