Examine Crash Responsibility of Alcohol- and Drug-Positive Drivers
This study will conduct a responsibility analysis for alcohol and other drugs and their roles in causing crashes. That is, does a crash participant’s positivity for alcohol or another drug increases the odds of being responsible for a crash? The study will also conduct analyses of potential bias in assigning responsibility of a crash. A research question is, does knowledge regarding alcohol or other drug presence bias a non-blinded reviewer towards assigning crash responsibility to that individual?
