Guidelines and Toolbox for Reducing Pedestrian Crashes with Turning Vehicles at Signalized Intersections
This research project shall investigate methods and conduct pilot deployments to recommend effective countermeasures for reducing pedestrian fatalities, injuries, and crashes involving turning vehicles to significantly improve pedestrian safety at signalized intersections. Findings shall be incorporated into guidelines and a toolbox for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and local transportation agencies.
