MDOT Safety Gap Analysis

In 2016, MDOT launched an agency-wide safety program, including a safety manual, as well as the Safety Pledge. Each District now has a Safety Officer, and MDOT has regular safety meetings. In the 6 years since the program launched, technology continues to change rapidly, and on-boarding new employees, as well as keeping all employees safe, whether in the field, office, vehicle, etc. MDOT wishes to revisit the safety program by evaluating current efforts, talking with other states to get ideas for improvement, and implementing recommendations.
