MDOT VR Worker Safety Study
The focus of the proposed project is to enhance construction occupational safety training by using immersive Virtual Reality (VR). Two safety issues are aimed to be covered in this project: (i) the major safety hazards in highway work zones (e.g., struck by) and (ii) workplace ergonomic injuries (e.g., work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) caused by repetitive body motion, awkward posture, heavy lifting, twisted torso, and bending).
