Administrative Rules and Structures of Speed Safety Camera Systems

This Transportation Research Synthesis (TRS) will build on the results of the Automated Speed Enforcement TRS published in January 2023 and will be the next phase of research into regional, national, and (if applicable) international best practices regarding the implementation and operation of speed safety cameras and their related administrative programs. The TRS will provide a summary of the 2023 FHWA Speed Safety Camera Program Planning and Operations Guide, additional considerations not covered within the guide, details specific to the state of Minnesota, and a list of additional resources.
