Accessible Bus Stop Design in the Presence of Bike Lanes
The ongoing and increased rate of implementation of shared and dedicated bike lanes, raised cycle-tracks and other bike infrastructure along bus routes and adjacent to MBTA bus stops has a direct impact on transit riders' experience and safety. This project will be a proof-of-concept study focused on a small number of bus stops adjacent to bike infrastructure, which will also make recommendations for the safe, comfortable integration of accessible bus design and bike infrastructure system-wide.
