Before-and-After Study Evaluation of Interstate 4 (I-4) Florida's Regional Advanced Mobility Elements (FRAME) Project
The objectives of this research project are: (1) collect "after implementation" data for two I-4 FRAME applications (Speed Warning and enforcement, Reduced Speed Zone warning/Lane Closure) addressing the communication technologies; (2) evaluate the performance of communication between Road-side Units (RSUs) and On-board Units (OBUs); (3) collect "after implementation" data for the Emergency Vehicles Preemption application addressing challenges and benefit-cost analysis; (4) assessment of the emergency vehicle preemption using comparative analysis with the predictions from the before study period; and (5) document all results from before-after study and analysis.
