Alaska Transportation Systems Management & Operations Strategic Plan
This research will: (1) conduct a Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSMO) readiness self-assessment for Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF); (2) review outside DOT business plans for TSMO (provided by Alaska DOT&PF through AASHTO RAC request), coordinate with AMATS TSMO project; (3) identify gaps and needs for Alaska DOT&PF and present to the TSMO working group; and (4) create a Strategic Plan as a final report that includes BOTH a research roadmap with recommended pilot projects and a business/action plan for the Department to best prepare Alaska DOT&PF for successful implementation of TSMO strategies. Project includes standard literature review, quarterly reporting, interim and final reporting, and check in meetings with working group.
