Advance Safety Data and Evaluation as a Means of Supporting Transportation Performance Management.
This project will do the following: (1) Administer the Roadway Safety Data Program to include roadway safety data collection, analysis, and management; (2) Provide roadway safety data and analysis technical assistance to practitioners in State and local agencies; (3) Reassess and develop the next version of the Model Inventory of Roadway Elements (MIRE) that states collect to develop comprehensive roadway and traffic data inventory for safety management; and (4) Expand State collected element/MIRE-FDE alignment to full coverage of MIRE.
