Increase the Utilization of Proven Methodologies and Tools
This project aims to do the following: (1) Update the Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM) tool to provide decision makers with better information so that they can make cost-effective decisions; (2) Define migration path for AASHTO to host the software; (3) Work with Data-Driven Safety Analysis Initiative program participating agencies; and (4) Update the Pedestrian and Bicycle Crash Analysis Tool (PBCAT) crash typology logic to reflect current and emerging roadway conflicts including micromobility conflicts.
