This project will consider the variability of assessment models when defining appropriate fatigue life safety factors. It builds on mechanical damage assessment and management tools that were developed by the pipeline industry and other research organizations and that are being considered in America Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice 1183: Assessment and Management of Dents in Pipelines.
