Identification Potential of Microplastics from Recycled Plastic Modified Asphalt Mixtures
The primary goal of this proposal is to evaluate the potential release and detection of micro-plastics from hot mix asphalt modified with recycled plastic modifiers. The intended outcome of the project is to provide a testing method that can help the asphalt industry identify when a potential for the release of microplastic(s) from asphalt mixtures can occur. If the procedure was found successful, training products, such as a webinar and/or training products, can be developed and distributed.
