SPR-4743: Traffic Management Geocast Study with Connected vehicles on Indiana Highways
We propose to design and implement an innovative connected vehicle application, named RampCast, to conduct an INDOT traffic management centered geocast feasibility study and develop the connected vehicle’s implementation and research capacity. We will use the actual traffic data of Indiana highways and an open-source V2X software development toolkit (V2X SDK) to develop Rampcast and test the tool on the evaluation toolkit, together with compatible devices with high flexibility, such as the Software- defined radio (SDR) devices.
