Remote Bridge Health Monitoring for Scouring Using Cost-Efficient Sensing Technology
The primary objective is to develop a system that links field sensors to form a sensing network for bridge health monitoring, particularly for scour monitoring. The overarching goal of the proposed research is to develop a system for remote scour monitoring that can be used with the existing Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) scour monitoring system and protocols. The study can be divided into four separate but interrelated parts, namely sensor development, machine learning algorithm, and optimization of human resources and web interface development.
