Truck Traffic Monitoring

The Truck Data program develops efficient and cost-effective methods to collect truck flow and related data. This project is an attempt to develop a national truck tare (empty) weight database to enable the analysis of freight flows. The empty truck weight database offers foundational data for freight load modeling, freight modal choice modeling, safety research and truck size & weight studies.
