Work Zone Data Exchange Deployment Technical Assistance

This project continues to provide technical assistance and support services for the Work Zone Data Exchange (WZDx) project team within USDOT and in the deployment community. Specifically, the project will support the meetings and activities of the Work Zone Data Working Group (WZDWG) and its subgroups, and coordinate technical assistance to IOOs implementing WZDx data feeds, including demonstration grant recipients. Technical assistance includes creating a backlog of technical assistance challenges, developing and publishing technical assistance materials, responding to GitHub inquiries, holding coordination meetings, developing data validation tools, and facilitating technology transfer among WZDx adopters. This project will support the WZDWG and USDOT team with meeting logistics and related administration, draft subgroup charters, provide communications content, and help identify and address technical support needs of IOOs. The project began in late FY20 to provide WZDWG support and technical assistance to IOOs; FY21 funding will be used for the WZDWG subgroup support component (optional tasks activated based on the needs of the WZDWG). Note: Data, Software/Analytical Code, or Reports may be produced in service of the subgroups. In such cases, these outputs will comply with the DOT Public Access Plan and JPO-specific data access and source code guidelines to the extent possible and associated deliverables (e.g., source code) may be added to the project plan. Consistent with these guidelines, the WZDWG develops all content "in the open" and releases all content under an open license.
