Advancing Geofencing Functionality
Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will receive funding to use GPS technology to enable free transit rides for passengers who use farecards and board at designated stops. Ridership and other data will inform future fare incentive programs, both in Rhode Island and nationally.
