Motorcycle Helmet Test Procedures (VRTC)
This project will develop/refine test procedures for testing motorcycle helmet performance to improve objectivity and assess repeatability. This project is focused on short-term refinements to the existing FMVSS No. 218 test procedures based on previous testing experience and industry recommendations. This project does not explore the use of possible new tests or performance criteria (such as rotational head criterion) for evaluating motorcycle helmet performance.
