Evaluations of FHWA Research & Technology Program Projects. Evaluation of FHWA's Every Day Counts Program
FHWA’s Every Day Counts (EDC) program is designed to advance a culture of innovation in the transportation community—state departments of transportation and their public and private sector partners—by coordinating rapid deployment of strategies and technologies. Since 2011, the EDC program has used a state-based model that identifies and deploys proven, yet underutilized innovations. EDC innovations have addressed a wide range of processes, practices, and technologies including safety, infrastructure design and preservation, environmental reviews and permitting, construction management, data governance, workforce development, community engagement. More information on Every Day Counts is available at: https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/innovation/everydaycounts/ The objective of this project is to document the impact of the Every Day Counts program, demonstrate accountability to funders and policymakers, and identify lessons learned and best practices that can be applied to future projects/programs, thus completing the innovation lifecycle.
