Non-Cantilever Fatigue Remaining Life Simulation Software Using Probabilistic Wind Model for All Counties in Kansas
The PI, in an earlier KTRAN project, developed a fatigue remaining life prediction software for non-cantilever sign structures using a deterministic wind model capable of applying wind effects between 1975-2019 at 8 cities in Kansas only. This development is already outdated. Following that development, the PI was able to develop a probabilistic wind model capable of projecting predictions into the future up to year 2064 for all counties in Kansas. Therefore, the non-cantilever software must be updated to handle the extended time period and geographic locations.
