Evaluation of Non-Destructive Test Pilot Projects
The objective of this research is to evaluate the non-destructive testing (NDT) pilot projects and specifications. Technicians from LTRC will use their own non-nuclear density gauges to take readings during the NDT Device Off-set Determination – Validation Day Procedures described in section 502.11.2 of the NDT pilot specification. The readings taken by the technicians can then be compared to those taken by DOTD personnel, contractor readings and the actual core densities.
