Mobility, Equity, and Safety
Volpe will provide HEPH with research and deployment support related to innovations in the financing, development, and implementation of sustainable, multimodal transportation projects that improve connectivity, accessibility, safety, and convenience for all users. The project improves multimodal mobility for citizens, improving access to jobs, health care, and other critical destinations, especially for underserved communities. The project contributes to reducing the number, rate, and consequences of crashes, serious injuries, and fatalities among transportation users, especially vulnerable road users. The project contributes to economic development and recovery by enhancing access and promoting the modernization of core transportation assets. The project provides human environment strategies for addressing climate resiliency and sustainability.
