Assessment of RNA-seq Sample Preparation Methodology
The two goals for this project are to determine the effects of purification method on RNA-seq results, and also to determine the impact RNA-seq data alignment and differential expression analysis have on biomarker discovery. Laboratory methods will be compared to determine if either of two concentration techniques affect the results of RNA-seq analysis. During analysis, multiple methods exist by which we can align the data resulting from RNA-seq analysis and statistically detect differential expression. This can be a very time consuming process, and the project aims to improve understanding of different approaches.
