SPR-4652: Synthesis Study on Best Practices of Cleaning Tools & Paving Equipment
High adhesion of Hot mix asphalt (HMA) sticks tightly to truck beds and paving equipment so that workers need to clean and remove asphalts from those surfaces. This project aims to narrow the lists of available and approved Asphalt Release Agents (ARA) and Cleaners (AC) down based on quantitative and qualitative factors and to provide the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) with a final list of ARAs and ACs that can be evaluated through field testing.
