Texas Technology Task Force (TTTF)

In fulfilling its mission of delivering a safe, reliable, and integrated transportation system that enables the movement of goods and people, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is focused on building and maintaining roads. TxDOT must explore methods beyond adding lanes and pouring concrete; therefore, TxDOT must explore the use of emerging technologies to achieve cost savings, reduce traffic congestion, promote safety, and increase economic activity. To prepare the Texas transportation system for the future, TxDOT must cultivate an environment which facilitates and promotes the preparation and use of emerging technologies. The Texas Technology Task Force is an external advisory board to TxDOT that conducts technology discovery activities and delivers recommendations for advancing technology to prepare the future Texas transportation system. The Task Force is developing a Technology Utilization Plan that will serve as the fulcrum between technology discovery and implementation.
