Impacts of Connected Vehicles and Automated Vehicles on State and Local Transportation Agencies--Task-Order Support. Equity Impacts of Shared AVs on Transportation Disadvantaged Communities
This project is combined with the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) Project B-47 Mobility Inclusion for Underserved Population with the Emerging Technologies The objective of this National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) project is to compile research and policy recommendations from studies, such as listed above, that provide insight to the opportunities and challenges associated in improving transportation equity as the market share of autonomous vehicles (AVs) increases. The outcome of this study will be a compilation of policy recommendations for decision makers that may lead towards a more intentionally equitable deployment of AVs.
